Diet Inspector Medifast Diet Review

Diet Inspector Medifast Diet Review

The Medifast 5 and 1 Plan
Five of the meals you’ll eat every day consist of foods sent to you by Medifast. These shakes, soups, bars, beverages, and snacks are packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and carbohydrates. And the sheer number and variety of choices (from apple cinnamon oatmeal, to cream of chicken soup, to oatmeal raisin bars) is amazing.

For your daily Lean and Green meal, you will eat one lean protein (like chicken, fish, shellfish, or a lean cut of beef) along with a salad, and a vegetable of your choice. And what you learn when preparing your Lean and Green meal will help prepare you for when you have finished the Medifast diet plan, and must prepare all of your meals yourself.

Sounds like a lot of meals to eat in one day? Well, nutritionists have long suggested that eating several small meals a day, instead of three large ones, can help you lose weight. And the Medifast diet plan takes this principal to heart. While on the plan, you will eat a meal every two to three hours, which will help you to always feel full and resist temptations. And, every day, you will eat about 800 to 1000 calories.

Positive results:
•The Medifast diet is perfect if you need to lose 20 pounds or more.
•The Medifast diet is safe for men and women of all ages (although you should talk to your doctor before you start any weight loss program).

You will lose weight fast. Most lose anywhere from 2 to 5 pounds a week. Some dieters lose quite a bit more, especially during the first six weeks of using Medifast.

You don’t have to worry about counting calories because it’s already done for you. If you are looking for a safe, fast and effective weight loss program that has been medically proven, and recommended by physicians, you should definitely consider the Medifast diet plan.

Medifast Shakes - Recipe Ideas for Your Medifast Shakes

The Medifast diet is one of the easiest ways to lose weight and keep it off for the long term. Many people have a difficult time with sticking to a diet and if they are able to lose the weight, they tend to put it back on quickly. Medifast gives you everything that you need, from a meal plan and delivered meals to resources that will keep you focused on your weight loss goals. One of the basic parts of the Medifast diet are the Medifast shakes. Many dieters doctor up the shakes a bit by making their own Medifast shake recipes. Perhaps some of these recipes can help keep you focused and continuing with the Medifast diet until you've lost all of the weight you need to lose.

Medifast Shake Recipe Ideas

Adding some flavor to your shkes by using Crystal Light or DaVinci sugar free syrups to your shakes in order to change the flavor. This will give you several different choices and as long as you stick with sugar-free to give it a little bit of zing. These are the syrups that they use at coffee houses like Starbucks. At your supermarket, you are likely to find these in your coffee aisle. Just make sure you get the sugar free syrups! Naturally, all of the nutty flavors -- hazelnut, almonds, etc taste terrific in the chocolate shakes. They also taste delicious in the hot cocoa so don't forget to give that a try as well. For the vanilla shake, one syrup I really enjoy with it is the coconut. The difficult part of this is keeping within the Medifast diet guidelines while still giving yourself something that seems like a treat.

Between the meal plans and a support system that they have, you will find that losing your weight with Medifast is much easier than any other diet you may have tried. If you're ready to finally ge tthe weight off, be sure to read my Medifast Diet Review and find out how you can get two free weeks of Medifast meals.

Caramel Apple Shake

With all the county fairs going on this time of year, it seems appropriate to come up with a Medifast shake treat we can carry around with us while enjoying the fairs' non-food activities. So here it is ... enjoy!

1 packet Medifast French Vanilla Shake
1 cup cold water
1 cup ice, crushed
2 tablespoons
sugar-free Davinci green apple syrup
1 tablespoon sugar-free Davinci caramel syrup

Pour ingredients into a blender and mix on high until smooth.

Medifast Cookies

You use a Medifast muffin recipe and drop the dough onto a cookie sheet with a tablespoon like you would prepare regular drop cookies. Some folks like to roll the dough into a log, chill and cut slices before baking. The baking time might be a little shorter because the cookies will spread out larger and thinner, so watch your baking time.

Here are two Medifast cookie recipes I've made in the past and they are yummy:

- Medifast Sugar Cookies

- Medifast Gingerbread Man Cookies

Butter Pecan Shake

This Medifast shake tastes so good you'll want it several times a day!

1 packet Medifast French Vanilla Shake
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup ice
1/8 teaspoon maple extract
1/8 teaspoon coconut extract

Combine ingredients in blender and mix on high until smooth.

Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Now that the weather is getting a little bit cooler, the Medifast soups will start to become more popular. Here's one of my favorite cool weather Medifast soup recipes.

1 packet Medifast Cream of Broccoli Soup
6 ounces hot water
1/2 cup broccoli, steamed and finely chopped
1 ounce Fat-Free Kraft Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Mix all ingredients and cover with a paper plate. Microwave on high for approximately 1 minute and 10 seconds. Watch that the soup does not boil over. Stir and let set/cool for about 30-45 seconds.

Yield: 1 Medifast meal

*Important Note: When using this recipe, reduce your Green portion for the day by 1/2 cup and reduce your Lean portion of the day by 1 ounce.

Broccoli Shrimp Soup

Here's another yummy Medifast soup recipe in my box of favorites. Hope you enjoy it too!

1 packet Medifast Cream of Broccoli Soup
1 packet Medifast Tomato Fast Soup
1-1/4 cup water
1/2 cup broccoli, steamed and finely chopped
2 ounces cooked shrimp, finely chopped
Dash of basil, dill and thyme

Blend all ingredients except shrimp with a hand mixer on low until creamy. Stir in shrimp and microwave for 1-2 minutes covered with a paper plate. Be sure that soup does not boil over.

Yield: 1 Medifast meal and 1 Medifast snack

*Important Note: When using this recipe, reduce your Green portion for the day by 1/2 cup and reduce your Lean portion by 2 ounces. Do not eat a Medifast snack for the day because the Fast Soup is considered your snack for the day.
